Hey ShortFuse, I’m trying to root my Galaxy Tab 7″ (2.3) and it stops on step 7 Shell Rooting Device, Wait for Device. And it stops responding. It’d be nice if you could help.
hey when it say “not responding” wait 40seconds but don’t touch the computer or it will close or completely freeze. it does that about 4 or 5 times…it did that when I rooted my skyrocket. cause in the coroner it will say 40s
Hey guys, I had the same problem with my SGH-T959V. It always hung up at step #7. I tried over 6x on two different computers and operating systems (Vista and 7). I mounted and then unmounted my SD card. When I opened “SuperOneClick v2.3.3,” I clicked on the tab “Advanced,” and checked the box “Use alternate ADB parser.” Returned to the “General” tab and hit “Root.” *happy dance* It worked! My phone is now rooted! Many thanks ShortFuse.
No it still doesn’t work at all. Still stuck in step 7, I tried many times and many ways even with several software but it can’t be rooted. In another software it say cannot force busy box, memory phone read only. i’m using gingerbread 2.3.6 – please help..
There’s a reason every blog about android says don’t update your phone. with i simple Google search you will find guides to help you sbf your phone back to 2.3.4, which is the only software rootable on that phone. You can use voodoo root keeper to save your root when you update however.. if your on stock software.
Buen programa…
Hello,
I tried to download your latest link for SuperOneClick V2.3.3 (27-01-2012)but my pc recognised it as a virus… I tried the other links but they were dead.
Hello shortfuse, I’m using Xperia Arc S with superoneclick v2.3.3 to root my phone.
My current phone firmware is 2.3.4. The programme work flawlessly untill it reaches shell rooting devices step 7. Am I supposed to unlock my bootloader first before applying this root? Thanks
Hey shortfuse, an pretty easy file uploader that i think is pretty simple to use and stable is dropbox.com . Just upload the files to the Public folder and right click for a public link, it also provides a link shortening function.
I’m trying to root my Motorola Bionic, but I click root and the program stops responding. I’ve tried multiple times and it’s not even starting the process. My phone is plugged in in USB mode, with USB debugging on. I just get no processes at all.
Ok. I have the same problem as everyone else and apparently the providers have found a way to plug the hole so people can’t root their phones, so people cannot tether with other devices. I know somebody in the industry that says that the big companies are losing money on the data right now. I’m willing to donate money, but it seems like super 1 click does not even have the the way to fix the
Im not a mobile tech or anything but know little bits…… I have just got a samsung s2 on orange but it does not have the signal boost app…. i have been told by orange that my samsung is probably not orange branded so cant get it ??? I got it from an orange thrird party. Ive been looking on the net and it seems the only way i can get it is by rooting my phone ?? I have downloaded everything i need odin, kernel code and superoneclick2.2 . I was just going to try it UNTIL i came across this thread…. It says it doesnt work and stops on step 7
The question i have is …. is this just a problem with version 2.3 or will it do the same on version 2.2 ???
Thanks surferbum

I just got a replacement Casio Commando. It did a system update right when I activated it. Now it seems as though I cant root it anymore. I’m getting stuck on Step 7… Is there a fix to this or just something I’m missing. Any help would be great!
don´t work on lg gt540 2.1 -update 1 not pass of step 3 sorry for my English I´m from central america help please I tried a lot of ways to root and anyone works!
Sprint Samsung Epic 4G… Gingerbread. Used Super Root a year ago successfully with this same model phone. Eclair I think it was, possibly FroYo. Now have a new replacement and Gingerbread. Wasted 4 hours repeatedly trying to root it with OneClick trying different tricks… Always hangs up on step 7. Time to go looking for another rooting program *fingers crossed*. Wish I could have stuck with what worked for me in the past.
i also have problem when it reach step 7, it stuck when it waiting for device to response, and then, nothing happen. I’m using Galaxy Ace 2.3.6.with firmware S5830DXKT4. need help. Any idea?
Can’t get past unzipping the file. Says I need to change permissions, but I’m logged in as an administrator already. Can’t see what permission I’d need to change. It won’t even let me access the compressed file (says permission is denied)
Any ideas on what’s wrong (or maybe a different file I can download?)
My Captivate arrived with ROM 2.2. SOC2.3.3 rooted it just fine. I quickly discovered the volume button didn’t work, and sent it in for warranty repair. When I got it back today, the vol buttons work, and Samsung ‘kindly’ had upgraded it to 2.3.5. Now SOC freezes on step 7 when attempting to root Any ideas?
Ummm… This doesn’t work on a Samsung Replenish running 2.3.6. any help?
ps: congrats on your marriage!!!! i just wish i could be with the girl i love… havent seen her in months :/
try either mediafire or box. they work well, especially mediafire. 4shared and skydrive are nice too.
mediafire: as far as i know, unlimited space for any account. files up to 200mb on free account.
box: instant upgrade to 50gb + files up to 2gb if you make it on the box app for android or log in to an existing account with the app until march 23.
skydrive: 25gb. all live.com accounts (hotmail, xbox live, msn, and any other microsoft account that i know of) have it built in. just go to live.com, log in, and hit skydrive. up to 100mb files
4shared: 15gb on free account. no clue about the file size limit.
hope this is helpful! superoneclick sure has been for me!
-owns rooted xperia play 4g (rooted by yours truly with superoneclick 2.3.3)
-soon to own samsung intercept (rooted by yours truly by flashing slapkernel v1.1)
-rooted lg thrill for someone else using superoneclick 2.3.3
To all those who encounter a “freeze” of the app at step#7, here’s what I did to overcome it:
-KEEP TRYING AGAIN AND AGAIN!
My rooting didn’t work until the 12th attempt… and it worked because I changed this:
-FILL YOUR RAM! open a bunch of apps, then launch the rooting sequence on superoneclick.
Tried downloading repeatedly. Will not finish. Please host elsewhere; even though they’re becoming more and more scarce as Big Brother cracks down on our rights, there are still plenty of file host options out there.
i have tried and tried and tried…. its simply DOES not work for lg devices… will not donate until it works….. why donate for something that doesnt work… constantly hangs on step 7 and it seems there are a LOT of people with this problem.. but no responses from the app creator on this site on what to do or how to fix….just a waste of time and dowload…

Hey,
as lot of your links are often dead, and Depositfiles is a pain in the arse service, what about puu.sh ? You can store files up to 20 MB under free account and give your users short and _direct_ link to your .exe or .zip file.
I’m no longer able to get root access on lg -lg855 phone after software update:
* daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* daemon started successfully *

For those who are facing that “freezing” at steps 5 or 7 after selecting “Root”, try to download a fresh copy of SuperOneClick having AV/protection disabled.
AV software such as ESET 5 take SuperOneClick as a dangerous application, so, try to keep AV/protection disabled during all the download/rooting procedure.
However, rooting process shouldn’t take more than 30 seconds (Shell Rooting takes even less than 10 seconds).
You can re-enable protection after Rooting, just take in mind that “real time” feature in your AV/protection could delete essential parts of SuperOneClick (libraries, etc), so you’ll have to download another fresh copy (or create a whitelist/permission from your AV/protection) if you want to Root again.
The file you linked to us won’t open with WinZip, 7-zip, or the compression engine baked into Windows XP. It attempts to open with Pea Zip but it asks for a password. I suspect the file is corrupted somehow. Help?
App does not work properly on Win 7. It is not AV, it is not peoples systems. It is superoneclick. It hangs on me as well at step 7 or so. I am on Win 7 x64.
to much peoples notice this version has a few bugs and a lot of people have problems with step 7. 6/15/12 3 am still no solution to fix that problem. Hangs on my galaxy note.
software could not root SGH-T959W. software hangs while installing and does nothing to my phone. I really want to root my Wind mobile phone but i am out of luck.
u guys are a bunch of sorry greedy noobs, 1st u complain about a free program, that what maybe 2 of u dontated to? second, google ur devices and educate yourself for petes sake, certain phones have certain methods, to the turd with the s2, u dont root that phone with 1 click and u could find that out from reading google in 5 minur a bynch of lazy arses that dont take the time to do stuff right, want it all handed to you, and btw, its this kind of stupidity thats going to lead all of u to eventually brick your phone and make it worthless. and itll all be ur fauly because when you use super one click correctly, with the right devices, 5 minutes tops u got root access. thanks for all ur work dev
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Model: GT-I9100, Version: UHLPP, on 4.0.3, when i run the 2.3.3 superoneclick gets stucked in shell root step #7, what I have to do to root it?
I have been trying to root my Atrix, but once i click “Root” , SuperOneClick got stuck at a process “Killing ADB Server”, is their sth wrong with my phone, or my computer? Please help. Thx
Please consider uploading to mediafire in the future. this is the only link on your site that isn’t dead at the moment and there’s a 60 second wait timer. there are plenty of hosts that don’t have such asinine practices, one of which being mediafire.
I just downloaded from depositfiles. The file size is 10,627,812 bytes. Here’s the MD5:

need help.. when extracting compressed files the folder exploit is empty!!.. and i manually extracted inside the folder exploit and nothing came out.. weird
i cant even run it.
How do you download the damn file without all your stupid gimmicks to make money. I was all set to send you some money through paypal until I ran into your URL advertisements. That is complete bullshit, host the damn file
Hello! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using
for this site? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

Did his suggestion work I too have that problem with the tablet
In another software it say cannot force busy box, memory phone read only. i’m using gingerbread 2.3.6 – please help..
try to disable your anti virus.
i have the problem as you.
My Droid X2 running 2.3.6 also hangs on step 7 waiting for device.
Also my samsung galaxy running 2.3.4 hangs on step 7
There’s a reason every blog about android says don’t update your phone. with i simple Google search you will find guides to help you sbf your phone back to 2.3.4, which is the only software rootable on that phone. You can use voodoo root keeper to save your root when you update however.. if your on stock software.
I’m talking about your X2. I have one…

Hello,
I tried to download your latest link for SuperOneClick V2.3.3 (27-01-2012)but my pc recognised it as a virus… I tried the other links but they were dead.

Hey shortfuse, an pretty easy file uploader that i think is pretty simple to use and stable is dropbox.com . Just upload the files to the Public folder and right click for a public link, it also provides a link shortening function.
But then he wouldn’t benefit from all the ads ;D
Got that right. Wasted 2 hours !!

ps: congrats on your marriage!!!! i just wish i could be with the girl i love… havent seen her in months :/
try either mediafire or box. they work well, especially mediafire.

ShortFuse, any eta on a patch??
keep up the good work, I’ll keep the donations comming!
BTW, freezes on step 7, Moto DroidX
thanks again
To all those who encounter a “freeze” of the app at step#7, here’s what I did to overcome it:
-KEEP TRYING AGAIN AND AGAIN!
My rooting didn’t work until the 12th attempt… and it worked because I changed this:
-FILL YOUR RAM! open a bunch of apps, then launch the rooting sequence on superoneclick.
Good luck!
what you change??can you tell us step step…thanks

Please use Dropbox free service or other real download service. I cannot get this file to finish downloading.
I will donate directly to you but not this slimeball type download service.
Thanks.
Tried downloading repeatedly. Will not finish. Please host elsewhere; even though they’re becoming more and more scarce as Big Brother cracks down on our rights, there are still plenty of file host options out there.
Thanks a lot for all. Thanks. Best regards
i have tried and tried and tried…. its simply DOES not work for lg devices… will not donate until it works….. why donate for something that doesnt work… constantly hangs on step 7 and it seems there are a LOT of people with this problem.. but no responses from the app creator on this site on what to do or how to fix….just a waste of time and dowload…

i updated my lg thrill 4g (lg optimus 3d) to version 2.3 and i downloaded the superoneclick 2.3.3 and the first time it seemed to have worked, it restarted but when it restarted it apeared not to be rooted and the superoneclick application on my computer gave me a compleatly different description then what i have seen online and said failed in 2 different places now when i went to try again it says “daemon not running. start it now on port 5… PLEASE HELP
If we could talk, I may have a server option for you.

first freezed at step #7, but now cancels there with the line no permission etc.
The file you linked to us won’t open with WinZip, 7-zip, or the compression engine baked into Windows XP. It attempts to open with Pea Zip but it asks for a password. I suspect the file is corrupted somehow. Help?
Congratulations! Enjoy your wedding. One question is: could the superoneclick root pad not phone with andriod system like android 3.2, 4.0?
App does not work properly on Win 7. It is not AV, it is not peoples systems. It is superoneclick. It hangs on me as well at step 7 or so. I am on Win 7 x64.
The download stuck at the end. could u please fix it up ? or please advice me. Thank you so much in advance.

hi, can i root my sony xperia neo l MT25i with this tool?
Please consider uploading to mediafire in the future. this is the only link on your site that isn’t dead at the moment and there’s a 60 second wait timer. there are plenty of hosts that don’t have such asinine practices, one of which being mediafire.
How come Norton picks up a virus? Not running this download yet!

i cant even run it.
The link is dead
How do you download the damn file without all your stupid gimmicks to make money. I was all set to send you some money through paypal until I ran into your URL advertisements. That is complete bullshit, host the damn file
Hello! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using
for this site? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at options for another platform. I would be great if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
Now my Galaxy S is ROOTED. Yeah!
how do u root it
