With the holiday break I’m going to have some extra time to test and roll out v2.3 with auto driver support.
I’m also ordering a Galaxy Nexus. I’m actually $1 short, so when somebody donates, I’ll order it. Expect that to get a root working asap
Edit: Order made!
but will it work on the samsung galaxy s SCH-i500 to give it root?
Kinda was wondering the same thing
(SCH-i500 v2.3.4.) I know your a busy guy. If you happen to get a few minutes I would appreciate it. Thanks and it’s nice knowing the world isn’t totally fucked yet. LOL
Same here, my i500 showcase needs to find its roots.
same here
Will it work for the Samsung Infuse 4G
If not, version 1.9.5 worked on my Infuse
I like to know too. Tried v2.2 and stuck at “WaitForDevice”.
Got Infuse rooted!!!
Download root.zip from here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-02NrvxDZYA.
Not sure which version of SuperOneClick that is, but worked fine with AT&T Infuse 4G.

will it work on the samsung galaxy s SCH-i509 galaxy young cdma ???
Hello, I tried to send you 1$ but could not….let me know.
I like your work you do and I am thinking of buying a new Nexus too.
Regards
Andreas

What do you mean with the “it has a e120″? Coz i have a Acer Betouch e120 version 2.1. Sry if im saying jibberish but im a newbie with the android program and i have a shitty phone which doesnt help me get any better.
i need root my x10a runnig android 2.3.3, please.
Hi,
First think, thanks for keep updating this fantastic tool, second, where is the “Donate” button?
u couldn’t afford to put up a dollar yourself?
I`ll put up more than just a dollar if he can make it root my samsung galaxy s showcase from c-spire running 2.3.5/e120
I will donate 50 dollars if you can get it to root the htc evo shift with gingerbread 2.3.3
Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Thanks for working during the Holidays!!! I am kinda low on funds @ the moment. After the holidays though I can surely put 20 down if you figure out how to root my t-mobile LG G2x a.k.a. LG-P999 2.3.3… would be nice to be rooted.
I’m with you Juls! I hope it works with this phone. I have like 30 pages open right now on how to root this 2,3,3, version.
Hello shortfuse.
Any chance of rooting Sharp 005SH Android Version 2.2.1 ????!!!
Hi!
I got a Viewpad 10s with there Android 2.2 on it. Can you tool help me to get google Market and Flashplayer on it?
Thanks a lot !
Apparently, v2.2 does not root 2.2.3 (not 2.3.3) on a Motorola Droid. This is the FRK76 OTA. I have tested v1.7 and it does work, using rageagainstthecage, so in v2.3, I suggest including that as an option under exploits.
I am trying to learn the basics on rooting Android devices. Could you point me towards any help files, especially for SuperOneClick?

Sorry for asking a stupid question but was the Root for the Ptab 7200 successful or unsuccessful?
Pandigital Planet, (another Kohl’s special) from last week. Identified as a version of the Novel. Was successful with v2.2 Has cameras front and back, but no Marketplace. If there is ever an additional opportunity for one click expansion, it is placing working Marketplace on non-Marketplace devices. As good as the “Allow 3rd-Party” addition. (Which, by the way, did work for my wife’s original ATT Captivate.) So, here is the successful run on the Pandigital Planet from Kohl’s.

1. Seems to hang after unrooting? But not when rooting. The unroot works, but exiting hangs the dos shell (calling from a batch file). However, when you root it and exit it looks like you are resetting (adb kill-server and adb start-server) but it doesn’t look like these are called when you unroot and exit?
2. How about a command line arguments. Something like:
-v [level] <==== Verbose level 0=No GUI, 1=Limited, etc etc
-r <==== root
-u <==== unroot
-m [Auto] [gingerbreak] [etc] <<==== Method to exploit
exit with an error code if it failed. `

If you want, here’s another exploit you can program into your application
adb.exe shell /system/bin/cmdclient ec_micswitch ‘`mount -o remount,rw /system`’
adb.exe shell /system/bin/cmdclient ec_micswitch ‘`dd if=/system/bin/ash of=/system/xbin/su`’
adb.exe shell /system/bin/cmdclient ec_micswitch ‘`chmod 6755 /system/xbin/su`’
This will get you SU and then you can load away!!!!
enjoy.
Works on Acer 100, 500, Motorola Xoom FE. At least these are the ones if tested it on.
how can I install it on mac?? Thanks!!
Someone has successfully tested SOC on LG E510?
Will you make it work with ZTE Blade with factory installed 2.3.5?
Also, will you port it to Mac OS X?
I hope my Samsung Galaxy S SCH-i500 Showcase with Gingerbread 2.3.5 will finally get rooted.
SKY launched Vega LTE, IM-A800S’s new firmware update, and after that ZergRush is blocked, I think. Can you help me for that before 2.3 is released?
I just picked up a Honeycomb, The Acer A100, for my daughter. Should I just go ahead and try SOC 2.2 and collect logs if it does not work?
it works on Samsung Galaxy S wifi 5″ Mini Tablet???
i need funcional this program in ubuntu 11.10 , is posible?
Any chance that you could root an Acer liquid MT thats got the latest 2.3.6 update I’ve tried with all rooting methods except for custom roms and I really want to have this device rooted. Please.
Is there any chance to root motorola xt311?
All previous versions don’t work.
Thanks
the samsung i900m

Weekend’s nearly over!
Hi. Hei shortfuse, can you say, that when i root my SE X8, can i then uninstall phones system apps? Or not? Then how?
I’m a little short on funds at the moment but if you can get the Samsung galaxy tab (sgh-i987) 3G edition to root I’ll donate $20 towards the end of December. I so want to update the rom but I have not been able to find a successful root yet. Please help. Thanks.
Let me know what type and firmware version since I have physical access to Sprint, Verizon and TMobile galaxy tabs.
turkey make you lazy?
Will it work on my HTC Desire HD 2.3.3
I would like to know if the V2.3 will still work kindle fire? No problem with donation even doubling your request for donation of $1. Thanks.
i would be happy to donate for an easy root to the tmobile HTC G2.
Does it work on Acer Betouch E120? I uploaded a version from 1.6 to 2.1 but i wonder if this program will work on this phone. Will it?
please let me know when you figure out a root for samsung galaxy s sch-i500 mesmerize running gingerbread 2.3.4, ive tried every rooting program and come up with the same problem, read only file system
Has anyone had any luck with using Mono to get SuperOneClick running in Mac OSX?
I used your superoneclick 2.1.1 and it rooted my motorola milestone beautifully, thank you so much for your software, just thought i’d let you know that you are awesome and i hope good things come your way, peace
did he release the 2.3 version? I can’t find it..
Any ETA on 2.3′s release, integration of drivers sounds nice.
could some tell me if im able to root my samsung sph-m930
I am a newbie – so a) I could not find an area to register, b) I could not find a donation page, c) I own a Samsung SPH-P 100 with GINGERBREAD EF17. It is a wifi only, ex sprint model. So when convenient, please supply me with answers for a), b) advise where I get step by step instructions to install and use
Continued – to use the latwst version of your rooting software when it is available
wait,wait,wait…
I have root access according 2 root checker pro and busy box works I have SGH-T839 running firm 2.2.1 running base T839UVKJ2 running kern 2.6.32.9 build FROYO.UVKJ2 but when I useROM Manager to load CWM in recovery I still get normal recovery. Tried reinstalling and found that it says its missing the signatures. So I have to do a normal boot. When I tried to root again I found that it won’t root it gets stuck on step 7. After countless hours of searching I found out why. It seems your superoneclick is having trouble on getting temporary root access through shell command. Its as if its not forcing the rageagainstthecage-arm5.bin file to gain root acccess. Ex. The prompt is still $ and not the #. So I took it upon myself using ADB forcing the rageagainstthecaage-arm5.bin file to get temp root access then used superoneclick and rooted it successfully I used android command manager aand am able to r/w data with that but when I re-boot to try an get CWM I lose root access so it somewhere along those lines where it is having trouble on superoneclick hope the info helps been trying 2 root my phone since may and have had no success. Well hopefully the problem gets solved thanks for your help.

Hi, I’m trying to root my Samsung SPH-D700 (Epic 4G) on a WinXP SP3 system and S1C keeps freezing up when it gets to Step #7 in the rooting process… possibly an issue with the .NET framework requirement? Sorry if this is noobish — I’m not much for dev or hax, just looking to get rid of CIQ.
TIA.

All this money being donated and still no root for the Cspire community. Looking suspicious!:(
I have used all the newer versions of gingerbreak, z4root, and now Superoneclick and I am still unable to root my motorola fire xt311. Gingerbreak just says rooting rooting and never leaves the screen. Z4root says rooting rooting and then goes back to the start select screen instead of rebooting. YES I rebooted to check and NO it did not change anything.
And now with SuperOneClick it starts to run the prog and after about 20 seconds the damn thing will freeze up.
On the left side of the screen it says
“Shell rooting device…-Step#5 ShellCommand 0.16s.
On the right hand of the screen it says
“[+] Rush did it ! It’s a GG, man!
[+] Killing ADB and restarting as root…enjoy!”
and then the prog locks up and I need to ctrl-alt-delete to close it.
I have read of 3 other ways to get this phone into boot recovery mode and all three of them have failed. I have found 2 different progs that are supposed to let me root the phone with the boot recovery manager but they simply do not work on this phone.
I want to throw this phone in the trash. If I can not get it rooted I am going to sell this p.o.s.
will superoneclick v2.3 work for c spire samsung galaxy s 4g 2.3.5?
Did tutu ever find a way to root it? I have 2.3.6 but no luck rooting it? Can’t find anything….
I’m using the LG P506 with 2.2.1 installed. I was just wondering if there is a fix for it hanging during step 7. I will gladly donate if we can find a fix for this.
Here is what I’ve found gets me the farthest:
-install driver a reboot computer
-enable USB Debugging mode on phone
-connect phone to USB
-open SuperOneClick v2.3.3.0
-select “Use alternate ADB Parser” under the “advanced” tab
-select “zergRush” for the “exploit”
-click “Root”
That takes me all the way to step 7 where it continues to hang…
