Dashboarder v0.02

A small thread grew on reddit talking about using your cell phone to record while the screen was off and how it was hard to find an app. A few hours later, here it is.

I wrote this in the course of day even though I spent way too much time figuring out that the bug wasn’t in my code, but a buggy CyanogenMod 10 build I was running on my Galaxy Nexus.

Obviously, it’s pretty empty, but it does as promised. It requires Android 3.0 or so and above. That’s really just because I was playing with fragments for the first time, but I’ve actually written the original code to be compatible as far back as Android 1.5.

(This is not my new super project, btw).

I’m going to be using depositfiles again since it’s pretty much the only site that my SuperOneClicks survived on after MegaUpload shutdown.

Hi there, I just wanted to thank you and all the folks in the tech world that strive to make our (the non computer genius public) technology experience as fulfilling as possible.

You people are some of the few that I will give my few dollars to for an app that I could have downloaded for free. Keep up your good work!

Hi, I’m still trying to understand what dashboarder does.
Is this an audio recording app? A video recording app? Or a desktop (OK, smartphone display-top) recording app?

I tried to find a place to read more about it but couldn’t. Is there some documentation somewhere, that I could peruse? Or even a video of how its used?

If I am not mistaken. There was a request yesterday for an app similar to Frapps (for Windows) in which you can record your desktop/game/whatever-you’re-doing-on-your-computer. Thus, this app records what you see on your screen, presumably.

What about google drive or dropbox? Could you post them on there for grabbing? deposit files takes forever to download…

    Feature requests here:

Made video quality customizable. (Information is provided by some api I believe)
Add an option for audio recording. (also let us choose quality)
Provide a setting so we can choose which cam to go to.
Provide a setting so we can use images instead of video if we want to (with a capture period we can choose)
Provide an option to adaptively increase frame-rate if movement vector is stressed (I’d like to record lots of frames if I am slowing down or speeding up)

Write more, thats all I have to say. Literally, it seems as though you relied on the video to make your point.
You clearly know what youre talking about, why throw away your intelligence on just posting videos to your weblog when you could be giving us something informative to
