Thanks for the hard work. I just sent a donation to try and help out.

No luck yet with Samsung i500. I’ve tried 2.3.2, 2.3.1, and 2.1, but like others have found – it stops at step 7, waiting for device.

    Fingers crossed.

I have been a bit standoffish to root my AT&T Inspire 4G for the fact that I haven’t found anyone who could also “unroot” it all in one easy step.
    That has changed.
My Inspire was loaded up on all kinds of junk as you know plus Launcher Pro.
I tried your root but had no luck even though Superuser icon appeared buy said “force stop”.
Simple remedy. I hard reset my phone and re-ran and BINGO!
    Works like a charm.
Now I want to increase the notification and ringing volumes since that is my biggest problem.
I’ll be checking out what it does for me and then a bit of a donation is at hand!
Thanks for taking the time to make it simple.
    Simple is better.

Not working on my LG P990 2x (Speed). Used psneuter and it froze on step 5. On Auto it froze on step 7. My Android is 2.3.3

Unfortunately still no luck on my LG GT540 with firmware 2.0E (Android 2.1-1). Freezes on step #3. before I could reach step #5. I really hope that next version will be OK for that phone as Android 2.1 always limit number of software installed

Does not work on my Optimus Q (L55C) from Straight Talk. I have the right drivers, allowed unknow sources, set USB debugging. It looks like it goes through the process and reaches step #7 and gives a time of about 9 secs. It doesn’t reboot the phone. I tried rebooting but still get no superuser icon…

No luck on Motorola Droid (original… yeah, I know time to upgrade but not enough money…) — worked GREAT a while back, but update to 2.2.3 lost ability… now will not root again ( super user icon appears but nothing can gain su access, attempts to use superoneclick just hang)

Rooting LG p990 or Optimus 2x works! I had problems freezing at step 5. I removed my SIM and MicroSD, klicked on the advanced tab and checked the “use alternate adb parser”, used auto under “Exploit” and then Root. Got some questions during the process and clicked Ok on all. Works like a charm!

Mine worked with 2.3.6 on a Galaxy S2 (Korean KT version M250K). I used superoneclick 2.3.1.

I forgot to capture the log, unless there it is stored somewhere.

Just thought to share my experience with you folks, as well. I am playing with Samsung Galaxy S Infuse (Model no. Samsung-SGH-I997R) with Rogers AT&T. Initially, the firmware version and build no. were 2.3.3 and GINGERBREAD.UXKG3, respectively. I used SuperOneClick 2.3.1 to root the phone, and it worked flawlessly. Then, while I was trying to install some fonts the phone went to a boot loop. Therefore, I had to reburn a stock ROM using Odin3. The latest available leak stock ROM is UCKK3 (which is of course different than UXKG3). The rebuild process worked as well; there was no data loss, but some additional AT&T apps were added. The phone model number turned into SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 (with no “R”) , the firmware version to 2.3.6, and the build no. to GINGERBREAD.UCKK3. Then, I tried to use SuperOneClick to root the phone again, but this time it got stuck at Step 7 (WaitforDevice), despite all the suggested tricks (disable/enable USB debugging, changing to different USB drivers, changing the options, etc.). My take is that perhaps the newer Android 2.3.6 has changed some of the spec’s so that SuperOneClick can no longer create the SuperUser app. Hope this helps, and I appreciate all the efforts in here.

I just got a Sky Vega Racer IM-A770K on 2.3.3 and was able to successfully root this with SOCv2.3.2. After a few hours the Racer received a message from Sky saying there was an OTA update waiting for download. The OTA seemed to be a patch and said the file for download was only 4mb. I went ahead downloading the OTA but loading into the fone unusually took close to 20-30mins. After the initial boot I discovered this un-rooted the fone. I tried to root again using same v2.3.2 but after a dozen tries and selecting/deselecting auto, zerRush, psneuter and use Alternate ADB Parser, still no luck. I’m hoping there’s still a possibility this Racer could still be rooted (dual core, 1.5ghz)

The process stops at Step 7 and here are the reports using “auto” and not using “Use Alternate ADB Parser”:

    * daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *

I tried to run SuperOneClick on Ubuntu 10.04 32 bits and 11.10 64 bits. The behaviour was the same.
Nothing happened when I clicked on Root button and when I clicked the Check Drivers, the application exits with the following stack trace on the terminal: System.NotImplementedException: The requested feature is not implemented.

No luck on LG Optimus S (LS670) running Android v2.3.3. Makes not difference in clicking alternate ADB or not, or using Auto or psneuter. Hangs every time starting ADB daemon – goes to ‘not responding’ and hangs until force closed.

    Any suggestions?

Oh yeah works like a charm :D

The best option, if its stuck at step 5 or step 7 is to leave it running for 15 minutes or less, and not to touch or click the mouse after you press the Root button or you might end up with a “Not Responding Message”, that’s exactly what happen’d with me at the second try before it gives me a message about the “su” and auto reboot.

The same thing happen’d to me when i was trying to root my 2.2.1 Froyo using the Super1Click v2.2, i remember getting stuck on step 5, but after keeping it running and without touching anything, eveything went well at the end.

        Good Luck :)

I tried to download and it says file no longer available. I hate those file sharing sites! Some are so bad anymore you can never find the download link between all the ads that say “download”

my optimus 2x p990 didnt root with the “newer” superoneclick versions, so i searched up the oldest one found one named superoneclick 1.0 worked perfectly.. make sure you have debugged also, settings>apps>development>usb debugging/android debugging. and good luck to you all! :D

    Currently running: p990 w. CM9 kang or CM7 7.2RC3 with vadonka HOC kernel ;)
