As promised:
Click here to download SuperOneClick v2.3.1
Let’s see if driver installation is a thing of the past now.
You’ll notice the file size has bumped up to 10mb. This is because the driver folder is now included with the latest (at the time of writing) ADB drivers from Google.
Enjoy!
Update: I have a 5mbit upload so at times the download queue may be full. You might have to be a bit patient with my server. If somebody would like to post a download, you can do so in the comments.
Update2: v2.3.1 is up (had to remove testing code that conflicted with XP systems)
Update3: Links are now mapped to a multiupload sharing. (My internet connection has been slowed ridiculously)

The program keeps not responding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi,
I have a Dell Streak 5. The program hangs at step 5. Any idea why?
Tom
I’m having the same issue!!!!
Same thing. Not responding after “starting ADB Server. “
Same goes for me! Keeps not responding at step #7 for kindle fire!
all versions stop at step 7. using a captivate 2.3.5 .. any ideas?
I have a fix for it hanging! It worked for me anyway. Follow the normal steps, then when it freezes/hangs, enable debugging. Worked perfectly after that with no problems. Tried for hours then rooted in less than a minute.
I hit root, it kills the ADB
and right after it says “Starting ADB server” it quits responding,
I tried again with the debugger on, still doesnt work. (I’m using the LG Spectrum with verizon. PLEASE HELP!
yep.worked. thanks to shortfuse and all the invisible little helpers on the internet!
Man, haven’t tried it yet but I can tell you thanks already.
help for a newbie please. I’ve spent many hours trying to root the kindle fire today. After much progress I’m getting stymied with superoneclick ‘not responding’.
when i click root it starts to run and achieves ‘daemon started successfully’ – then it stops responding.
Any guidance?
I have the exact same problem….can enyone help out?
Unfortunately – ditto. Same situation.
The failure occurred on my samsung galaxy tab sph-p100
Yep, we are all having this problem.
Same problem here.
Not responding right after starting ADB Server
=.=’
Same here!
Me too. kindle fire… kindle alone…
Apparently, the Kindle Fire actually has a much different rooting process. I don’t even know if you NEED SuperOneClick for the Kindle Fire. Don’t quote me on that, I’m not sure how accurate that is. I just know that the Kindle Fire has a different method for rooting.
Well… I try with USB Debug mode and root again.
It worked.
Is there any known issue with WinXP ?
SOC hangs every time ; even if USB Debug is enabled.
SGS2 i9100 (2.3.6 UHLB2)
Do you have your drivers for your phone? I got this issue too as well but then I figured out I didnt even have the drivers, lol
Still not working for Samsung SCH-I500 (freezes on step #7), but keep up the good work!! I will donate when it does.
Yup same problem still on my SCH-I500 as well. Hangs at waiting for device on Step #7 and never goes forward. Running Gingerbread 2.3.5
Step #7 here to but running 2.3.4! Would make the most out the exploit but have been to busy to do my own programming assignments.
also too busy to ad the extra ‘o’s in too.
not to mention the ‘d’s in add
nothing added to fix step 7? thanx !
Same problem here too. Hopefully our day will come. Maybe we need to ask Santa.
Same on my IM-A800S
im with you guys samsung galaxy s sch-i500 2.3.5 i will most def donate if DEV can get my device ROOTED!!!
O, and CONGRATS on getting engadged!!!!
Thanks but link is down. Does this version root Gingerbread 2.3.5?
hello
troyan detected by nod32 …..?
what can i do?
thanks
I have read … heum and I saw, it ‘s ok for the alert of troyan …..
but now when I dl, i have 0 ko file too……
Works like a charm, never done a superoneclick root before as my last smartphone was a htc wildfire but this was pretty simple and fast. Although I was a bit stressed because of all the errors it displayed at first. Thanks allot!

thanks for the help. freezes on step 7 (galaxy tab 7)
For me it freezes too in the 7th step like you, this time with a BQ Davinci Tablet…
I got the nod32 trojan warning too but as it is, as we know, an exploit it seems reasonable. So I turned nod32 real time off while I unpacked it and then made an exception for the folder.
HTC evo shift still wont root gets to run test and says it may prompt me to allow su access but nothing comes up on my phone thought it would finally work this time this is what it shows if anyone sees that im doing something wrong please let me know thanks.

PS: A Samsung Galaxy S2. (With Android 2.3.6 (2.3.5 gave no problems rooting)) Please, any suggestions?
not working just freezes right after it starts on “daemon started succesfully”
on g2x (lg p999)
Had debug off, but now it hangs on step 7 nothing after that
mine either.
Well I still cannot get the drivers for my Captivate to install properly in Windows 7 x64, but here’s I mirrored the new version to my Dropbox http://dl.dropbox.com/u/27223698/SuperOneClickv2.3.1-ShortFuse.zip

tryna root samsung facinate aka showcase for cell south for a friend
Your download links appear to be dead, and unfortunately I can’t find SuperOneClick v2.3.1 mirrored anywhere. Can you check/repost the files for download? Thank you for all your hard work!
Finally got it to download after many tries. Didn’t work the first time but worked the second Thanks.
Samsung Galaxy S gingerbread 2.3.3
When is the download link going to be back up? Can anyone that downloaded it host it?
Trying. I finally got it downloaded and put it in my Dropbox, but my comment has not been approved. That was over an hour ago now.
I’m sure that shortfuse is just trying to make sure that the file is still safe.

Trying to root my Kindle Fire. SuperOneClick keeps freezing after “Starting ADB Server” Never goes any farther and “Not Responding”
Any solution to this?
found the solution here http://www.besttechinfo.com/how-to-root-your-amazon-kindle-fire-jailbreak/
THIS IS IF YOUR SUPERONECLICK CRASHES
I had the exact same problem and would get this once in finished with command prompt instruction. I followed the instruction someone commented on this post.
This part of the instruction is wrong.
10. Delete anything that’s inside of the “adb_usb” file and replace it with the following code: 0×1949
Do not delete anything just simply add 0×1949.
It should look like this
# ANDROID 3RD PARTY USB VENDOR ID LIST — DO NOT EDIT.
# USE ‘android update adb’ TO GENERATE.
# 1 USB VENDOR ID PER LINE.
0×1949
This is also the reason why you would get this in the command prompt.
I was able to root it in superoneclick in less then 1 minute after correcting this error.
v2.3.1 doesn’t need this
where this adb_usb file is located ??
did you use kindlefirewire’s tortouial?
Hi Bob,
….In the notepad, I copied what should have been there as you suggested. Going to cross my fingers and try super 1 click again
**crosses fingers**
still no luck ]]:
Having the same problem. None of the suggestions made so far in this thread have worked.

Small typo in your post: “Update2: v1.3.1 is up”
I guess that should say “v2.3.1″ is up – right?
Thanks for your effort.
I think it worked on my Huawei 8850 Vision
Although the program said that there is no driver (AFTER the installation of the driver and reconnection of the phone) it seems to be rooted now.
I was able to give Droidwall root and it is working correctly.
How you do it?
Confirmed working to root a Samsung conquer 4g from sprint. Will donate once I have some money to spare.
how did you get it to work for conquer mine gets stuck at step 7
worked great. donation made.
worth every dollar.
Keep up the good work.
Rooted Samsung Infuse. ATT will not provide any upgrades so it’s time to take matters in to my own hands. What an easy and great start with Superoneclick.

Update your list it works fine on LG P925 Thrill. No issues or problems, no surprises.
What did you do to get it to work on the Thrill?
I keep getting DAEMON not running, am i supposed to do anything other than install the drivers, download superoneclick and click root?

Hello shortfuse, please let me know if you need testing for new release with a galaxy s2. I am very eager to get my 2.3.6 rooted.

XXKI3
Version 2.3.5 rooted correctly.
Just update to 2.3.6 via KIES.
Rooting on 2.3.6 hang at #7.
Thanks for support

Exactly same issue as I have with my Galaxy S2
Same Here. Just updated my SII to 2.3.6 and get stuck at Step 7

Always think that SOC is the best….. !
but I think you have to consider about super one click apk
SOC Also doesnt work on a Galaxy S2 with Gingerbread 3.6
LG Optimus Hub (E510)
Tried SuperOneClick v2.3.1. All working fine until step 7 where it hangs

Ok, all good. Used this tutorial for LG E510: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1200167

Hi. Used your program to “root” my Milestone running 2.2.1. After a few glitches it all went well and got root and the green pirate Super User in my app tray. Was ecstatic that you had made it so simple. Your donate message popped up and I did donate. I think you really deserve it. Hope your engagement went off with fun times
Now the question. The reason I wanted to root is because I really want to get Cyangenmod on my phone. However, when I take the next steps to do so, I learn that I do not have Venerable Recovery and need to perform the same steps as a basic, formal root. So my question is what is the point of using your program to root if I cannot procede with getting any Open Recovery to work? Do you have a solution? I would appreciate one. I have tried “ROM Manager” but I get the message E: Can’t open /cache/recovery/command. Going through several forums indicate that I have got a “superficial” root and not a complete one. So I thought it best to ask you for a solution, as I am confident that you will have one. Thanks, RSM
Can I please know why it is still not working on LG G2X 2.3.3? I thought I had read a post in this blog saying that the test was done on this device..
Anyone know why it gets stuck on step 7 for Samsung Conquer 4g
Worked like charm on my AT&T Galaxy II, thanks a lot! If only I could sim-unlock it now…
still can’t root my huawei vision 2.3.5
It won’t root my Lg optimus 2X : – (
2.3.4 Gingerbread

All recent SOC versions stuck on step 7….
I’m trying to root Sony NSX-32GTi Google Tv. Comes with Android 3.1 and I’m able to adb through wi-fi using Android SDK ADB. Can’t connect 2 USB type A. Is there any way of getting this thing rooted, I have all my linux knowledge exhausted
Thank you!
Samsung Galaxy S 4g Gingerbread 2.3.3
Just worked using the “psneuter exploit” after freezing on step 5 under “auto” about 10 times in a row…
even when I click check drivers with or without “Use Alternate ADB Parser” the program is not responding
For those having problems with it getting stuck after starting ADB server, make sure you’ve enabled USB debugging under applications, development. Also make sure you’ve connected the USB cable.
I would suggest people also at least check out the first post of the XDA-developers thread
Thankyou for superclick devopement, however for my LG Optimus 2X (G2X) 2.34, none of the versions worked successfully, always stalling on step 7.
To successfully root on android 2.34, I used the process below.

It hangs after step 7, maybe this will help:

Got the same on Viewsonic V350. OS: Stock Gingerbread 2.3.7
Okay so I’m not super great at rooting my phone, but I seem to be having a problem with the newest version. I have tried to root my Tmobile G2 that has 2.3.4 on it and superoneclick states that it is rooted but when i check it actually is not rooted. So I root it again and when my phone restarts it crashes. I have looked at sites and they say something about finding root on my sd card through the computer but it is not visible to do any rooting. Also is there any fix for this. I’m really wanting to root my phone as all of this bloatware is causing my phone to slow way down with every update.
Confirmed working with LG Optimus 2x p990 using psneuter
Which LG firmware version and android version?
This worked for my Samsung Vibrant running 2.2 UVKB5 – reboot, install superuser then root apps work. <———— SUPER EASY!
Hello
My anti-virus program is ESET NOD32 4v. Inside Superoneclick 2.3.1 detect virus Linux / Exploit.Lotoor. AK Trojan. Please comment. Is that true?
If you look at the comments above some people had the same problem, its not an issue with SuperOneClick but with the AV software you are using…
By Nature this software exploits holes in devices but will not harm your computer, just turn off real time, then grant the folder SuperOn… access and run it again (
Turn back real time after if you want
Hi,
exploit in this way is obtained by taking my phone’s IMEI number. Then it can be used for their own purposes.
SGS2 (T989) Hangs up on Step #7 “waiting for device”. Program not responding. Help would be appreciated. Congrats on the engagement man!

I am over 70 and somewhat computer illiterate. For Christmas I got a new Android Haipad M8 . However most apps from the Android Market Place come with a message that they are not compatible with my device. I really want to get Google Books and I have been told that I need to root my device. I downloaded your SuprOneClick v2.3.1 on my XP computer, but when I click on the start icon it just crashes and comes uo with an error message inviting me to inform Bill Gates of the crash (as though he would help!). Any ideas. This looks like a brilliant programme and I would love to get it working
Merry Christmas,
Chris

SuperOneClick 2.3.1 won’t download
anything I’m doing wrong or I can’t rout my samsung coquer?
will this work on gingerbread 2.3.6 for tmobile’s samsung galaxy s 4g?
same prob as users said before: program, vers. 2.3.3, stops at step #7.
windows 7 hp sp1, usb debuggimg is on, sd out, program runs with admin rights … ???
… usb debugging …
trying to root my Samsung Vibrant but no luck- I suspect an ADB driver problems.
it seems that SuperOneClick would like to have installed at the same time two drivers: Android ADB Composite and Android Bootloader Interface. Even when I manage to get them both of them actively into computer Composite starts and Bootloader Interface doesn’t. Superoneclick starts rooting process, asks me whether I have OS version >2.0, starts installing busybox and ends afterwards saying chmod:not found in the log window.
ANy suggestions?
Someone who had the same problem and was able to resolve it?
Is there a plan for this to be mirrored somewhere else? Multiupload is currently offline and I’m not sure if it’s going to be coming back.
does the dev ever assist ? cause it just doesnt work.
THANK YOU! NOW I WILL BE SUPERUSER ANDROID
Stuck on step #7 as well, on a Galaxy P7300. Is there a solution to this?

Download link not working. Multiupload seems to not exist anymore.
Guys, first of all, sorry for my bad English, i’m keep tryin’ to learn them..
For everyone that has 2.2 (Froyo) and stucks on step 5 or 7 on SuperOneClick, i have the solution for that.
When opening SuperOneClick, go to Exploit button and choose “psneuter”,
then continue to root.
You’ll see, that everything goes right!
no !!!!!! hace lo mismo

I am a noob also. Trying to root mytouch4gslide for the first time. I have read many forums from XDA and on. All I got was confused… Superoneclick stopped @ step seven… I have 2.3.4 stock. Got my download @ cnet.com. Your would not downlowd, any help please??? Thanks your truly, NOOB…
I am a noob, too. I tried SOC on my Sprint LG Marquee, android 2.3.4. It gets all the way to step 7 and freezes at “Waiting on device.” I have tried this 3 or 4 times now. Any suggestions?
God damn installer, is it too much asked to post a direct link to the file instead of a fucking installer that spams your entire pc wit crap?
